Seven Bet In Craps

Seven Bet In Craps Average ratng: 5,5/10 7530 reviews

The whirl bet is sometimes known as the world bet in craps and they are the same exact thing. This bet consists of a combination of bets that includes the horn bet and the any seven bet. The horn bet itself is a combination of different bets in which you are wagering on the shooter rolling a 2, 3, 11 or 12. Any of these numbers wins the horn bet.

  • The pass line is the best-known bet in craps. You win even money if a seven or 11 is rolled on the “come out” roll of the new gamebut lose your bet if a two, three or 12 is rolled. If any other number is rolled, that becomes the “point” and the shooter continues to roll until this number appears again.
  • Any Seven Bet The any seven craps bet, also known as big red, is perhaps the most popular and well known wager in the game of craps. Basically all you are doing is betting that the shooter will roll a 7 on the next roll.
  • Unless you request otherwise, winning bets remain in action. A description of the proposition bets are as follows: Any 7 – You can bet “any 7” on any roll of the dice. When 7 rolls, you win and are paid 4 to 1, if any other number rolls you lose. This is a one roll bet. Any Craps – You can bet on any roll of the dice.

Game Objective:

The objective of the game is to roll a pair of dice on the Craps table and to predict their outcome. Player places bets or wagers on the outcome of the roll. The game focuses on speed and style while retaining all the qualities of the classic game. Turbo function can be used to control the speed of the action.

Game Features:

The message area located at the right bottom of the game screen and dealer audio will assist you while the game is in progress.

Game Options:

Click on Options to bring up the following list:

  • Color Scheme: Use this option to choose the colour of the table (Green, Red, Blue, and Purple).
  • Quality Setting: Use this option to choose the table quality view (Low, Medium and Advanced).

The player control area includes Roll, Undo and Clear Bets buttons, and a chip stacks to select different chip amounts. You can place bets by clicking the desired bet area, and remove bets by using the Undo button which will remove any bets that have just been placed. For convenience, the last chip value clicked on the chip stacks is held in memory (indicated with an animation) and can be repeated without returning to the chip stack. After placing bets, if player mouse over on the specific bet, total bet value for the respective bet will be shown in a tool tip.

Rules:

Craps is played with two dice. Chips are used to place bets. Craps is a game of rounds. A round begins with the player (dice roller/shooter) makes a eitherPass LineorDon't Passwager. After placing a Pass Line or Don’t Pass wager, the player is required to roll the dice (called 'come-out' roll). The round immediately ends when any of the following occurs:

  • The come-out roll results in a total dice value of 7 or 11 (called 'natural').
  • The come-out roll results in a total dice value of 2, 3, or 12 (called 'craps').

If the total dice value is 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 then a Point is made for the respective number (the number is marked with the ON puck on the Craps table). The player is required to roll again. The round ends when any of the following occurs:

  • The roll results in a total dice value of the Point number (the number marked with the ON puck on the Craps table).
  • The roll results in a total dice value of 7 (called 'seven-out').

The minimum and maximum bet limits for the game are EUR 0.5 and EUR 30,000 respectively.

Bets:

There are numerous betting options.

Pass Line:

Pass Line bets must be placed before the come-out roll is thrown. On the come-out roll, 7 or 11 wins, Craps (2, 3, 12) loses and the round is over. Any other number becomes 'point' (marked with the ON puck) and the round continues. After Point is established, to win the Pass Line bet, Point must be repeated (making point) before 7 is rolled (7 out). Once Point is repeated or 7 is rolled, the bet is settled and the round is over. The next roll becomes the new come-out roll (new round). For example, the come-out roll is 8, and becomes Point. The shooter continues to roll until an 8 (Pass Line wins) or 7 (Pass Line loses) is rolled. To make a Pass Line bet, click on the section of table marked Pass Line. Payout is 1:1 (even money). The Pass Line wager is a contract bet; it cannot be removed or reduced once the Point is established, until it wins or loses.

Don't Pass:

The Don't Pass bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet except rolling a 12 is a push (tie) and the bet is returned to the bettor. Don't Pass bets must be placed before the come-out roll is thrown. On the come-out roll, 7 or 11 loses, 2 or 3 wins, 12 is a push. Any other number becomes 'point' (marked with the ON puck). To win the Don't Pass bet, 7 must be rolled before Point is repeated (making point). Once Point is repeated or 7 is rolled, the bet is settled and the round is over. The next roll becomes the new come-out roll (new round). For example, the come-out roll is 8, and becomes Point. The shooter continues to roll until an 8 (Don't Pass loses) or 7 (Don't Pass wins) is rolled. To make a Don't Pass bet, click on the section of table marked Don't Pass. Payout is 1:1 (even money). Don't Pass wager is a contract bet; it cannot be removed or reduced once the point is established, until it wins or loses.

Come bets are similar to Pass Line bets except they cannot be made on a come-out roll. 7 or 11 wins, 2, 3, 12 loses. Any other number becomes Come Point, indicated by moving the bet to the appropriate number square. To win the Come bet once the Come Point is established, Come Point must be repeated (made) before 7 is rolled (7 out). Once the Come Point is repeated or 7 is rolled, the bet is settled. To make a Come bet, click on the table area marked Come. The bet is moved to its corresponding number square when Come Point is established. i.e. Come Point 8 Come bets payout 1:1 (even money). Once Come Point has been established (Come bet moves to the respective number), Come bet can be removed but it cannot be changed (increased/decreased). Odds Bet Overview:

You can accompany your Pass Line and Come bets with an Odds bet. Odds bet are not applicable for Don’t Pass and Don’t Come bets. The Odds bet is popular because it pays 'true odds' on your bet. True odds are based on comparing the chance of your number being rolled before the 7. To illustrate, the diagram below shows the 7's chance of being rolled (6 in 36) is twice that of the 4 (3 in 36) so placing an Odds bet in favor of the 4 will pay 2 to 1, in favor of the 7 will pay 1 to 2.

The probability of dice combinations determines the odds of the payout. The following chart shows the dice combinations needed to roll each number. The two and twelve are the hardest to roll since only one combination of dice is possible. The game of craps is built around the dice roll of seven, since it is the most easily rolled dice combination.

Description &Objective

Craps can be an intimidating game for the beginner. The table seems to have about a hundred different kinds of bets. Critical tothe understanding of craps is that it is a game of rounds. The first roll in around is called the come out roll. Sometimes the outcome of a round will bedetermined on the come out roll. In particular a 2, 3, 7, 11, or 12 on the comeout roll immediately ends a round. If any other total is rolled (4, 5, 6, 8, 9,or 10) that number is called the point. The dealer will place a white puck onan area of the table to designate what the point is, in case you forget. If apoint is rolled the dice will be rolled continuously until the same point isrolled again or a 7.

The Pass Line

The pass line is the most fundamental bet in craps, almost every player at the table bets on it. The house edge on the pass line isonly 1.41%, which is not bad compared to most other bets on the table and othergames in the casino.

The pass line is an even money bet. You start byplacing your bet on the pass line area on the table on a come out roll. If thecome out roll is a 7 or 11 you win, which is also called a natural. If thecome out roll is a 2, 3, or 12 (craps) you lose. If any point is rolled on thecome out roll if the point is rolled again before a 7 you win. If a 7 comesbefore the point you lose. That is all there is to it. Once you understand thepass line bet you are ready to play craps. You may want to practice using funmoney a few times before playing for real money.

Buying the Odds

Have you ever wanted a bet with no house edge? Crapsoffers just such a bet, as long as you bet on the pass line first. Once a pointhas been thrown you may bet up to some multiple, usually 2 times, your passline bet on the 'odds.' The odds are simply an additional wager that the pointwill be rolled before a 7. Because the probability of the point being rolledfirst is less than 50% you win more than you bet if it happens. Specifically ifthe point is a 6 or 8 the odds pay 6:5, if the point is a 5 or 9 the odds pay3:2, and if the point is a 4 or 10 the odds pay 2:1.

The multiple you may bet on the odds is usuallytwice the pass line bet for points of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10.

Dont Pass

The don't pass is almost the opposite of the pass linebet. If the come out roll is a 2 or 3 then you win, a 7 or 11 you lose. A 12 isa push. Otherwise the dice are rolled over and over until either the point or a7 is rolled. If the 7 comes before the point you win.

A person betting on the don't pass is not the wagerof choice by many players, since this bet is betting against the shooter. This is also called a 'wrong'bettor and is usually winning when everyone else is losing, and vice versa.

The house edge on the don't pass bet is 1.364%.

Laying the Odds

This is the opposite of buying odds, in other wordsbetting that a 7 will be rolled before the point.

If the point is a 4 or 10 the don't odds pay 1:2.
If the point is a 5 or 9 the don't odds pay 2:3.
If the point is a 6 or 8 the don't odds pay 5:6.

Come

Have you ever become bored waiting for a point to bethrown and didn't want to waste your money on the sucker bets to guarantee amoney flow on every throw? If so then try the come bet. It is like the pass linebet but may be made at any time. Like the pass line bet you might also putmoney on the odds if a point is thrown on the first roll after the come bet isplaced and has a house edge of 1.41%.

There is a nuance to the come bet the player shouldknow about. If a point is thrown and there are still active come bets on thetable waiting for a different point then special rules apply for the followingcome out roll. The come out roll will still apply to active come bets but itwill not apply to their respective odds bets. In the event a come bet isresolved on a come out roll then the odds bet will be returned.

A good strategy for the player who likes constantaction is to have a new bet on either the pass line or come on every throw, andto always take the maximum allowable odds.

This bet is one of the more exciting bets to make inCraps.A lot of players use this bet toget more numbers working for them at the same time, six in all.

What the don't pass is to the pass, the don't comeis to the come.If the shooter rolls a2 or 3, you win.A 12 constitutes atie. You lose on 7 or 11.Any other number is the come point. You win if a seven is rolled before the comepoint and lose if the come point is rolled before a 7 is rolled.

The Place Number Bets

In craps the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 are known as the'place numbers.' For the player who must have money on some or all ofthem immediately they may make certain bets to cover any place number(s) theydesire. These bets work just like the odds but pay worse odds, with theexception of the 'hard way' bets, which are described below. Likeodds bets on top of come or don't come bets, place number bets are on during acome out roll. These bets can be removed at any time.

There is a high price for impatience in craps in theform of a higher house edge. To further exploit the impatient or ignorantplayer there can be two or three different bets on the exact same thing, andthey will all pay different odds. You might think players would only bet on theoption with the best odds but you would be quite wrong, it is routine to seeplayers throwing their money away on the higher house edge versions of the samebet. For example the place bet on 6, the buy bet on 6, and the big 6 all arebetting that a 6 will be rolled before a 7 but pay 7:6, 24:21, and 1:1respectively, for house edges of 1.52%, 4.76%, and 9.09%. Specific descriptionsof the various bets are below.

Big 6: A bet that a 6 will be rolled before a 7.Pays even money, house edge of 9.09%.

Big 8: same as the Big 6 only that an 8 will berolled before a 7.

Buy Bets: This is essentially the same as the placebet, only with a different payoff. The player may 'buy' any of thepoints (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10), which means to bet that the number will berolled before a 7. When making a buy bet, you must pay a 4% commission and yourbet will pay fair odds if it wins. Fair odds are 2:1 on the 4 and 10, 3:2 onthe 5 and 9, and 6:5 on the 6 and 8. Another way to look at it is that the buybet pays 48:25 on the 4 and 10, 36:25 on the 5 and 9, and 144:125 on the 6 and8. The pay out on all bets will be rounded down to the nearest quarter. Thehouse edge on all buy bets is 4.76%.

Hard Ways: There are four different hard way bets. For example a hard 4 bet is betting that a pair of twos will be rolled before a7 or any other way to roll a total of 4. This is called 'the hardway' because it is harder to roll two twos than a one and a three.Likewise you can bet on a hard 6, 8, or 10, each of which is a bet that thehard way of rolling the given number will occur before a 7 or any'easy' way.
The casino pays 7:1 on a hard 4 or 10 with a house edge of 11.11%.
The casino pays 9:1 on a hard 6 or 8 with a house edge of 9.09%.

Lay Bets: The lay bet is the opposite of the buy betand the same as the place bet to lose but with different paybacks. The lay betsmay be placed on the 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. The bet itself is that a 7 will berolled before the number you choose. Because the 7 is the most likely number tobe rolled you will wager more than you can win. The player must pay a 4%commission on the possible winnings and the fair odds are paid on the betitself. Fair odds are 1:2 on the 4 and 10, 2:3 on the 5 and 9, and 5:6 on the 4and 8. Another way to look at it is that lay bet pays 12:25on the 4 and 10, 16:25 on the 5 and9, and 12:15 on the 6 and 8. Thehouse edge on the 4 and 10 is 2.44%, on the 5 and 9 it is 3.23%, and on the 6and 8 it is 4.00%. Note that the house edge on the lay bet is lower than theplace bet to lose on the 4 and 10 only, if you want to make a lay bet on the 5,6, 8, or 9 you would be advised to make a place to lose instead.

Place Bets: This is very similar to laying odds. Youmay bet on a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10. If the number you bet on is rolled before a7 then you win according to payoff schedule below. Unlike laying odds you don'tneed to have a pass line bet, you don't have to bet on the point, but there isa house edge.

A place bet on 4 or 10 pays 9:5 with a house edge of6.67%, you bet $10, win $18
A place bet on 5 or 9 pays 7:5 with a house edge of 4.00%, you bet $10, win 14
A place bet on 6 or 8 pays 7:6 with a house edge of only 1.52%, you bet $12,win $14

When a place bet wins, you are paid your winningsand your original bet is returned. You may take back an active place bet at anytime.

Field Bet

A field bet is a one-roll bet.If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or12, you win even money with the exception of 2 which pays 2:1 or 12, which payseither 2:1 or 3:1.Please see below formore explanation on field bets under Proposition Bets.

The Proposition Bets

Proposition bets either win or lose on the nextthrow. In general these have the highest house edge of all the craps bets andfor the player with any sense are to be avoided completely. Specificdescriptions of the various bets are below.

Craps 2: A bet that a 2 will be thrown on the nextroll. Pays 30:1. House edge 13.89%.

Craps 3: A bet that a 3 will be thrown on the nextroll. Pays 15:1. House edge 11.11%.

7: A bet that a 7 will be thrown on the next roll.Pays 4:1. House edge 16.67%.

11: A bet that an 11 will be thrown on the nextroll. Pays 15:1. House edge 11.11%.

Craps 12: A bet that a 12 will be thrown on the nextroll. Pays 30:1. House edge 13.89%.

Any Craps: A bet that the next roll will be a 2, 3,or 12. Pays 7:1. House edge 11.11%.

Field Bet: This is a one time bet that the next rollwill be a 2,3,4,9,10,11, or 12. The 3,4,9,10, and 11 pay even money. The 2 pays2:1. The 12 usually pays 3:1 but some tight casinos only pay 2:1. If the 12pays 2:1 the house edge is 5.56%, if the 12 pays 3:1 the house edge is 2.78%.On the surface this seems like a great bet because 7 numbers win and only 4lose. However the 4 that lose are much more likely to be rolled.
